Welcome to Radlett Cricket Club

We need players – of all ages and abilities!

We can offer something for players of all abilities, from those who aspire to play at the highest level through to those who may wish for a more social game.

Moreover, the facilities are second-to-none as Cobden Hill is one of the most scenic grounds in the county with two home pitches side-by-side and a fantastic pavilion that was rebuilt in 2012. So, for playing or just watching cricket and for a place to socialise, you need look no further!

Men’s Senior Cricket

There are four men’s teams playing on Saturdays in the Saracen’s Herts League.

The 1st XI play at the highest level possible in the County and regularly challenge for the premier league title and are currently Champions of Hertfordshire.  Despite all this success, there is still plenty of room for aspiring cricketers in the team, of whatever age, with a number of places “up for grabs” in the side.

For those aspiring to play a high standard of cricket, but who perhaps can’t make the 1st XI, it is worth noting that the 2nd XI play most of their matches against other clubs’ first teams and are currently in Division 2A

But whilst it is great to be able to offer the highest standard of cricket, the health of the Club depends greatly on its playing strength lower down. And here there is a good spread of opportunities, with Radlett 3rd XI playing in Division 4B and the 4th XI in Division 7A.

Club nets, for all those playing senior cricket at whatever level, take place every Tuesday, from 6pm-8pm.  Our new net facility was installed in 2019, thanks to a generous donation by a member

We also have an affiliated social side called the Lion Herts who train every Monday from 6pm - 8pm

Junior Cricket
Friday evenings and Sunday mornings see over 175 boys and girls at the Club benefiting from professionally organised coaching. During the week, teams from U9 through to U15 play age-group league cricket in their respective leagues, including girls U13 matches.

Cricket courses are run during the summer holidays. Youngsters can sign up for the full week, or just the odd day.

During the close season, we run our Winter Academy programme, providing quality indoor coaching for our Young Players.

Helping Out
Without volunteers, we have no cricket. We would welcome any offers of help: umpiring, scoring, groundwork, administration, help organising our MCCC matches – the list is endless. In fact, we will pay scorers and umpires, so why not combine watching cricket with earning some pocket money?

We are one of the most successful clubs in Hertfordshire, but cater for all abilities and ages.

Radlett CC hosts Middlesex CCC Championship, RL50 and T20 matches

August 2013: Australia’s women’s team leaves the field after beating England A in a pre-Ashes warm-up match at Radlett.

A great place just to come for a drink and a relax.
